The initiative ‘BürgerBahnhof Plagwitz’ is a network and consists of residents, creative artists, traders, associations and initiatives, which are already active or want to be in the background of the station in Plagwitz. Their aim is to create a lively and liveable place from the unused area of the goods depot. This is aimed to be achieved through civic engagement in cooperation with the city of Leipzig and the Deutsche Bahn. Possible types of use for the ‘BürgerBahnhof Plagwitz’ are art and culture, leisure, relaxation and sport as well as industry, tourism, and so on.
Self-Image:
The initiative ‘BürgerBahnhof Plagwitz’ wants to influence the transformation of the former freight station Plagwitz into a public park and include the interests of all stakeholders in the environment in this process.
Different types of participation are intended to help the collection and if applicable the conversion of ideas and suggestions for possible types of use for the unemployed area of the station.
Objective:
The aim of the persons who are involved in this project is to redesign and to put new life into a part of the station. These objectives are to be achieved through possible kinds of use of the station like art and culture, leisure, relaxation and sport as well as industry, tourism, residency and so on.
