A reconstruction of Karl-Heine-Platz between Karl-Heine-Straße and Aurelienstraße is planned for spring 2019, which is the subject of a public information event on May 24, from 4 to 6 p.m., right at the square. Members of the City administration will present the preliminary design. Residents can give hints and suggestions, which are then – as far as possible – taken into account in the further planning phases.
Located on the border between the districts of Lindenau and Plagwitz several worn playing and sports equipment are to be dismantled, replaced or supplemented. Furthermore, it is planned to improve the pathways, to rebuild the existing fountain and to create more seating. The reconstruction is funded by the federal state programme “Urban Restructuring”.
